Episode 21

Here is a video of Sachin being his silly self. Nowadays he's always asking for "pudding." Day or Night, if you ask him what he wants, it's pudding. He also likes it when I sing a part of the MamaMia song, so that is what he is trying to sing at the end of the video.

Episode 20

February has just flown by. I know there are only 28 days in the month but I'm not complaining. The faster it is over, the faster warmer weather. Sure we didn't get much of a winter this year, but I'm sick of the early nights and being stuck inside with a very active 20 month old.

This weekend is going to be a work weekend (housework). Andy's is eager to finish painting and then carpeting his workout room. This project started in December when we had someone come in to drywall it all and then we promised Andy that he could paint and carpet it himself. I promised to provide snacks and cold drinks, however he has wrangled me into helping. So tonight is a paint til you pass-out-from-fumes night. And then tomorrow will be carpet tile til-sachin-wakes-up from his nap. And Sunday will be Andy is finally-off-my-back, rest day.

As for Sachin, he's being doing the same. He's becoming more and more attached to Andy when he comes home. Once he walks in, it's "daddy, daddy, daddy." Which is nice for me to get a break but hard when Andy needs to work, eat, sleep or go to the bathroom because Sachin wants to go with him. Oh! I almost forgot...Sachin went pee-pee on the toilet! He had done "potty" in his diaper so after changing him I put him on and said, "now go pee-pee" and about 30 secs later, a little bit of pee!! Andy and I made a huge deal and he was so excited. Now he's always pointing to the bathroom and saying "bye bye pee-pee, later." It would be so awesome to have him potty trained. Ahh...I dream of the days where I don't have to change a stinky diaper.

Episode 18

Busy, Busy Day.

The day started early! Sachin's new schedule is now waking up from 6:30-7:00 am, and he doesn't sleep in on Saturdays no matter how much we beg. However, I got a break and got to sleep in while Andy and Sachin went down and watched cartoons. Then we were out to a trail "Play Gym" class at Gymboree. It went really well. Sachin got right into it and was running around trying out all the equipment. He could care less if Andy and I were there. We decided to sign him up since the weather is still not good enough to do outdoor play so this will be a nice alternative for him till it warms up.

Then we went to the mall to where their was some sort of fair for kids stuff and Sachin got to see some Tortoises (which Andy wanted him to touch but I scrapped that idea).
Sachin fell asleep on our way home and once we got home, Andy followed Sachin's lead. Before I knew it I was out too. Then we made pizza for dinner and watched wheel of fortune. Now Andy and I are watching Wedding Crashers. Overall, a great day.

Episode 17

My lack of posts are reflective of how busy Sachin is keeping me. In the past month Sachin is exploring everything and anything. Andy is pretty firm on "baby-proofing" but there are things that are not "sachin-proof." Two lamps have been sacrificed, a couple of walls, and dents in furniture are evidence of his destructive path. He no longer cares about punishment, instead give himself "time-outs." He'll touch the tv (which is a big no no) and then immediately says, "no touch tv...time out" and then points to his time out spot as his walks over and sits down. Andy and I know he just testing his boundaries and limits but it is hard to keep him safe and out of trouble if he's not listening to either one of us. Can't wait for this "phase" to be over!
